OIL DISCHARGE MONITORING EQUIPMENT (ODME)

The strict international regulations on MARine POLLution (MARPOL) envisage the controlled discharge of slop water used to wash tanks. The monitoring systems used for this purpose are subject to periodic checks by the classification bodies. M.R. AUTOMATION srl has thorough knowledge of this type of systems.

CARGO AND BALLAST MANAGEMENT

M.R. AUTOMATION srl plans and supplies automation systems for cargo handling on oil tankers, as well as chemical and gas tankers: in full respect of related rules, the company supplies control systems for temperature, pressure and level of cargo tanks, with pumps and valves remote control. Closely associated with the cargo management, the ballast system is also integrated with the relevant checks on the tanks level and pumps/valves remote control.

INERT GAS SYSTEM

This is a critical system for tankers. The inert gas generating system is equipped with process controllers and inert gas quality analyzers. M.R. AUTOMATION srl puts experience in supplying and servicing these special equipments at customer's disposal.

RUDDER AND THRUSTER CONTROL

M.R. AUTOMATION srl plans and supplies control systems for motors, pumps, propellers and rudder of ships with traditional propulsion systems as well as for ships with dynamic positioning (DP). The technologies used for thrusters are quite different, from diesel driven to electrical power with or without inverter, traditional propellers or “WHITE GILL”, “SCHOTTEL” type systems, or others.
